Yet more of the lovely cards I received for my birthday.

More birthday cards...

More of the beautiful birthday cards I received last month.

Jan very cleverly got the name of my blog on her card :)

Enjoy

Another beautiful card I received for my birthday recently.
Think I need this edge die!

Love the way Margaret has decorated the inside of the card (puts me to shame as I never seem to get round to doing proper inserts)

High Tide

I really like this stamp set, High Tide, by Stampin' Up!
I need to have a proper play with it, this was my first effort, there's some beautiful cards on Pinterest.

Stash Bags

These are thank you gifts for a couple of my club ladies who placed orders with me recently.

I bought the plain tote bags from Papermill, unfortunately they're not on their website. I usually visit the shop when we're in the Lakes and these bags were tucked away on a bottom shelf.

The front of the bag has a plastic sleeve so you can decorate a piece of A4 card and slide it in to make the cover personal.

I used some papers from TKMaxx, stamps by Autumn Leaves and Banana Frog.

Wiper Card

Excuse the horrendous pics, as usual as I was in a rush for card club!

This is a wiper card, lots of tutorials on YouTube/ Pinterest. I couldn't find one with the measurements I wanted so I made them up myself to suit a 5 x 7" envelope. If you watch a tutorial video and get the gist of the basic card here are my measurements:

two pieces of grey card 10.5 x 5" and scored at 2" and 4"
'wiper' is 4" x 2", marked at 2" and a diagonal score from here.

When things have calmed down I might actually have a go at some videos as I have to make card projects anyway, just that I don't like my speaking voice...

Border punch is by Martha Stewart
Sentiment die by Tonic
Butterfly is K&Co

Called a wiper card because it folds flat into an envelope and then when you open the card (by pulling each end) the butterfly slides up like a windscreen wiper!

Celebrate

I made this flower using a piece of Foamiran, cut with Papertrey dies, and shaded with some Colour Cloud inks.
I was pleased with it but I know it's nothing like the beautiful flowers people can make with Foamiran  (YouTube has tutorials).

Celebrate die is by Die-versions.
Swirl die is by Memory Box or Poppystamps
Linen card is Papermill and I've shaded with Colour Cloud.

Thinking Of You

I don't actually like this all that much but thought I'd share it anyway.
It's the same flower stamp (Woodware) as on the previous post and I liked this card right up until I added the sentiment.

I'd stamped and embossed the flowers, painted them with Colour Cloud inks, then looked at it again the next day and thought there was something missing. Decided it needed a stamped sentiment (Hero Arts)...and then instantly regretted it. Never mind!
