Bookcase Builder

Another recent SU purchase and, again, one I need a bit more time with.
I used whatever inks I had to hand plus some stamp-friendly pens (old ones by Docrafts)

I like the way you can really change the mood of the card by using the same stamps but in different colours and combinations. Some great ideas on Pinterest, as usual.

Lift Me Up

This is the tool (wallpaper seam roller) I was blethering about on my previous post, it's fab for getting a really definite crease when making your own card blanks.

This card made using Stampin' Up! Lift Me Up stamp set and matching dies. I've bought a lot of new SU stuff lately and haven't had time to have a really good play...

Acetate

Bit hard to photograph this one.

It's a sheet of printed acetate that I folded to make the card blank, then it just needed a topper.
Behind the topper, on the inside, is a piece of white card for the message - this means that the adhesive is sandwiched between the two and therefore not visible.

Because of the thickness of the acetate it was impossible to score so I just folded it over and then used a plastic roller to enforce the fold. I bought the roller in a DIY shop and I *think* they're sold to go over wallpaper seams, it's been so handy over the years when making my own card blanks.

Topper and acetate are both Papermania

I'm Back

Apologies for the long absence of posts, we've been away on a cruise and then away again at a music festival (Download) plus the puppy is still wanting a lot of attention...so card making has taken a back seat for the last few weeks.

I'll post a card later but in the mean time I found these lovely paint chips recently in B&Q. The colours are gorgeous and on quite a matt finish so they'll be great for small dies/ punches.
I might even just use a single one as it is on a 'welcome to your new home' card.
