Love

Patterned papers are by Graphic 45
The heart die-cut is by Docrafts, I cut it in two and stamped and heat embossed a script stamp, then added a little gilding wax.

The vellum quote is an old one I found in my stash, I secured it with a die-cut button.
Finished card is 7 x 7 inches.

Happy Birthday

I've already shown the birthday card I made for my mum recently. I liked the papers and the ribbon so much that I made another card, for one of my ladies, with the same products.

Instead of stamping this time I used sentiment dies by Sue Wilson. The paper is by DCWV and it's from a pad called Meet Me In Paris. I bought it from Craft Clearance for a bargain price, it's really lovely quality, ditto the ribbon.

I do find the Craft Clearance website a little frustrating in that if you look in the various categories you might not find an item, but it is actually there on the site, just not in the place you expect it to be!

So the pink ribbon is not in the ribbon category however it is listed under the brand May Arts. The search function is equally frustrating. The bargains are so good though, it is worth a half an hour browse, and they are very prompt to dispatch.

Christmas Wreath

I've had this circular ribbon die for absolutely ages but had never got round to using it until a few weeks ago.
It's by Marianne, again I'm not sure what make the sentiment die is (Crafter's Companion maybe?)

I'm on a mission to use up old stash and I had several packets of price-reduced red card blanks so the gatefold card was made using two of them. I cut three inches off the front of each one then glued the cards back-to-back.
I had scored some simple lines on the card front but it looked too plain so added the die-cut snowflakes, die is by Crafter's Companion.

Hedgehog Birthday

My friend Dawn adores hedgehogs. I spotted this image on the scrap table at our cardmaking club and snatched it up quick to make her birthday card.
The sentiment is made from three Waltzingmouse stamps and I've attached the ribbon using a ribbon slot punch by SU.

Birthday

Recently I picked up a free home-wares catalogue in John Lewis. When I got it home and looked at it more closely I realised the cover sleeve was a nice linen-effect paper...waste not want not!

Joy

Papers are DCWV, I added the glitter and bow.
I find with sheer ribbon like this I prefer to make a couple of small holes and thread it through before tying, rather than glue which I get in a mess with (plus it won't drop off in the post).

Joy and Cheer

Having been ill I'm struggling to get back into crafting at the moment so a very simple card here.

It's Cuttlebug embossing folder 'Joy and Cheer' and I've highlighted it with some Glamour Dust.
The snowflake is a brad I've had in my stash for about a decade.

The ribbon looked very flat and limp and I wanted it to curl.
I wrapped it around a pencil and blasted it with my heat gun for about ten seconds or so and this seems to have done the trick. In future I'll try and remember to use a couple of strands of ribbon if doing this as it doesn't look very full whereas when it was straight it was enough for the card.

First Christmas card of the year!
I saw a card sample in a craft shop in the Lake District a week or so ago, this is my take on their card.

Stamp is by Woodware and I've decoupaged and added Glossy Accents. Paper is from my old stash (I think it's Papermania/ Docrafts)
