UTEC

I bought a cheap pot of Ultra Thick Embossing Crystals from Craft Clearance.
I've added three layers to a piece of thick card, then pushed a script rubber stamp in while the top layer was still hot.

Embossing folder is by Crafters Companion and I've added Nuvo drops.
Sentiment die from AliExpress.

Fancy Fold

This was a card fold I kept seeing on Pinterest.

I didn't realise until after I'd cut and glued every panel that it doesn't actually stand up! So annoying, when I went back and looked at Pinterest I realised all the photographs I'd seen were taken with the card laid flat.

I don't see the point of cards that you can't display so I added some card layers to the inside so it balanced the weight out, card now stands up.

I've scattered some embossing enamel and added faux stitching.

Dad

My dear dad celebrated his birthday recently. He's always been a nature lover so I knew he'd like this card.
The papers are from Making Cards and the alphabet dies are Sizzix Sunset. The sentiment stamp is JustRite.

Impossible Card

I spotted several of these 'Impossible' cards on Pinterest recently and thought I'd have a go at making one.
My favourite tutorial videos are usually about ten or fifteen minutes long, just enough time to enjoy a cup of tea whilst watching them.

The particular video I watched for the Impossible card went on for quite a long time.
After about thirty minutes I just had to switch it off but at least I had all the vital measurements.

I sat down to make the card and then realised the measurements did not work. So, now I know why it's called an Impossible card!

I wouldn't let it beat me but it's not possible that I'll be making another one ;)
The gears/ cogs are Sizzix dies, sentiment is by Crafter's Companion.

Shells

Shell stamps are by Hero Arts. I've had them for about ten years so it was nice to dust them off!

Card folds (fairly) flat and is then 17 cm x 17 cm so fits in a 7 inch envelope.

A4 cut to 29cm and then score at 6cm and 9cm, turn 180 degrees and score again at 6 and 9cm
Fold side panels in and then cut card to 17cm height, the strip you have just cut off is then flipped over and adhered (the 'cheers' bit)

Time

8 x 8 inch card - I'm not sure what this kind of fold is called, the card blank is by Crafter's Companion and comes cut and scored.

I've used a set of stamps by Hot Off The Press, sentiment die is by Tonic.

Scenic View

Stamp is by Creative Expressions and is called 'Scenic View', dies are also by C.E.
To make the quickest background ever I swiped three colours of Colour Cloud Blending Ink across the panel.

Card is 7 x 7 inches, ribbon is from SU.

Boots

Stamps are by Woodware. I've cut the footprint stamps into two as they were originally one stamp with side-by-side prints.
I've used Colour Cloud inks to edge and added (real!) stitching.

The ombre paper is by Craftwork Cards, originally I was going to have the blue at the top and green at the bottom so it would look like sky and grass. After I'd stamped the footprints on the left hand side it looked too cluttered hence turning it round.

Finished card is 8 x 8 inches.

Sea Happy Birthday

This was my April fool card, albeit a day early.

 I keep all the project samples for card club in clear plastic sleeves to try and avoid accidents and smudges, my mum spotted this project and said "Oh that's nice and simple I'll get that done quickly".

Bless her she had no idea, until I took the card from the sleeve, that it might be a little more than just simple stamping and a single die-cut...

You should have seen her face drop!

Actually it was still a very straight-forward card because I bought the fancy-fold inners from Create and Craft so it's just a case of measuring/ cutting/ sticking the coloured panels on.

The sentiment stamps are by Hobby Art, Happy Birthday die is by Tonic

The sea themed stamps were from this magazine. You get a set of stamps, two dies, an embossing folder, some absolutely gorgeous papers, sequins and the magazine itself. It's £10 and I got mine in Tesco (because if it's in the shopping trolley at the supermarket it doesn't count as stash spends right? it's "groceries")

Just for You

It's my friend Steven's birthday today, his mum is a crafter so I know she will be examining his card.

I decided to only sprinkle embossing powder on part of the stamped sentiment to give a two-tone effect. The background has been created with Versamark ink and clear and gold powders. Stamps are all SU.
