Mother's Day

Please excuse the dreadful photography.
In real life the card stock I used is beautiful pearlescent shades of teal.

The stamps are Inkadinkado and Papermania.

A very strange Mother's Day this year. Mum and I spoke to each other from a safe distance, she inside her house and me on the path outside.

Hoping all my card-making club ladies are safe and well and enjoying lots of crafting during this lockdown.

Mother's Day

Mother's Day card I made for my amazing mum. I know everyone thinks their own mum is the best but mine is truly inspirational, she is just incredible.

I made the card using a Spellbinders die set. Stamped sentiment is Inkadinkado, alphabet stamps were a magazine freebie.

Fancy fold card

I don't buy a lot of patterned paper/ card for my club as I don't find it cost effective. Recently I found some nice vintage-style pads in The Range and they were so cheap (£1.49 and £1.99) I couldn't not buy them.

I'd watched a video the other day of a card with a similar fold to this one but the measurements were all in imperial and I find it difficult sometimes marking 3/16ths of an inch or whatever.

The card from this pad is perfectly sized to just fold in half and then half again, no faffing. I did then decide to trim some off the height but no silly bits of an inch.

The stamps are a mix of Inkandinkado and Kaisercraft.
The tag punch is SU

Vintage

Papers/ image are from the Cardmakers Collection magazine. Card is 8 x 8 inches.

I've Versamarked and clear embossed the gold card with an Inkadinkado stamp - bit difficult to see here but it's 'happy birthday'

Poppies

One of my card club ladies loves poppies so for her birthday card each year I normally try to use them as a theme.

This year, whilst in Wales, I'd spotted a bed of them. I took a photo knowing it would come in handy for Joan's card.

It's an 8 x 8 inch card blank. Sentiment stamp is by Inkadinkado.

Thinking Of You

My mum's sister should have been celebrating a special birthday in a few days, sadly she passed away suddenly a couple of months ago.
I wanted to send her husband a card on what would have been my aunt's birthday, to let him and her children know that she's not forgotten.

My aunt's favourite colour was pink and her nickname in our family was 'Queen' so I used this Pink Paislee patterned paper with crowns on, and added some dusky pink and dark brown, so it's a nod to my aunt without being too feminine for her husband.

Grateful

I bought a set of Inkadinkado stamps on eBay ages ago and could never think when I would use this particular one (only bought the set because it was mega-cheap but it's not a bargain if you don't use them is it?). Anyway I needed a 'thank you' card for someone in my family so grabbed the chance to show it some ink.

Paper is MME.

Christmas

Some similar (but very slightly different) Christmas cards.
All kraft card blanks are by Papermania and have been stamped with Stampin' Up Serene Snowflakes.
The above card has a K& Co sticker that I had kicking around for about six years(!) and I stamped the greeting.

The image on these three cards is by Inkadinkado and I added gold cord or ribbon.

Dotted card by Bazzill and the aqua card was stamped using an Inkadinkado stamp and Versamark ink.

My Mother's Dress

I've had this stamp for a very long time, I remember being so desperate to get my hands on it!
It's by Inkadinkado and is called "My Mother's Dress".
I've stamped it on Bazzill Bling cardstock and just added some ribbon and gems and matted it on silver card.
The sentiment stamp is by Magnolia - I like the fact that it can be used for a number of occasions and not just birthdays.

Mother's Day

Pink swirly card is by Paper Adventures.
Pale green panel was from QVC and I have stamped an Inkadinkado gemstone swirl stamp over it and embossed it with white powder.
The roses are K & Company die cuts and the 'Mum' is cut with a Sizzix alphabet.
