Congrats

My lovely friend got engaged recently and this is the card I made for her and her new fiance.
I based the colour scheme on Tiffany's the jewellers because that's what springs to mind when I think of engagement rings (not that mine came from there!)

I used the Tree Rings stamp from Stampin' Up! which I just love. It's a large background stamp (11.4 x 14.6cm) and I've heat-embossed it here with white powder.
I can see me using this stamp a lot for male cards but also for the rustic look that's in fashion at the moment  -  maybe I'll be making some wedding stationery in the next year?

The 'Congrats' die is by Cuttlebug and the hearts are an old Sizzix die. I used textured card and added just a dusting of ink round the edges (Pool Party by SU to match the card-stock)

Leaf stamps and matching dies are from the latest Crafter's Inspiration magazine.
I used spritzing inks to colour plain white card before stamping the leaves.

Sentiment is a Cuttlebug die.
Card is 7 x 7 inches.

Hello

This one was a bit of a happy accident, I was playing with some spritzing inks on watercolour card.
The bottle of ink hadn't been used for a while and the nozzle was clogged so when I sprayed it I produced a big blob of ink on the card, I put it to one side but because it was such a blob it ran down and made a 'stem'.

From this I thought it looked like a dandelion and so decided I would stamp an actual dandelion over the top.
I used Personal Impressions stamps and instead of using ink and embossing powder I tried using glue direct to the stamp and then copper gilding flakes.

The sentiment die is by Cuttlebug.
I did try recreating the card but with green ink and this time with embossing powder but I prefer the look of the gilding flakes as the shine is much better.

Thanks

I've used SU Watercolour Wings stamp set and matching die for the butterflies. There's a bit of second-generation stamping to get the two shades of purple from one ink-pad.
Sentiment is an old Cuttlebug die
