Celebrate

Sentiment die is by Crafters Companion and the butterfly dies are by Quickutz

Hugs

The 'Hugs' sentiment was made by spraying ink through the negative of a die-cut.
The die itself is by Simon Says Stamp, I'd cut it to use on another card but rather than throw the negative away I was experimenting with a new bottle of spritzing ink.

The ink is from Docrafts Artiste, colour is 'mint', and it has a lovely shimmer to it that the photograph does not show. It's the first time I'd used this product, I think it's good value at £4.95 a bottle.

I know some people aren't keen on Docrafts, when I first started crafting it was so readily available that I bought a lot of it (Anita's peel-offs and rubber stamps that I couldn't stamp without getting a halo round each image!). My local garden centre is just over a mile away from our house and they stock Docrafts so it's really handy for nipping in for basics.

The other dies I used for layering are by Quickutz and the butterfly is a Martha Stewart punch.

Thinking Of You

Butterfly is by Quickutz
Sentiment is Simon Says Stamp
A little hard to photograph but the right-hand side is vellum so in real life it looks more delicate.

Cherish

'Cherish' stamp is by Basic Grey
The background stamp is SU 'En Francais'
I've heat embossed both with gold detail embossing powder, Cherish was stamped on vellum.

Butterfly die set is an old one by Quickutz, loved it when I bought it years ago and then cut so many for a wedding that I couldn't stand the sight of it!

Tags

We had an excellent session at SU class a few weeks ago. Rather than make a card we did a variety of Christmas projects, including these tags. The top layer lifts up to reveal the message.

I had already made a batch of tags at home and honestly thought I'd have some left over. Now I've started on the wrapping I realise I need to make more...
So these were my tags -

I used SU Serene Snowflakes to stamp white ink on some red card. Then I cut some tags using a Sizzix die and stamped with Waltzingmouse sentiments and the snowflake stamps and layered them up. My first couple of dozen tags had eyelets but I started to get hand-ache!
Baker's Twine threaded through the holes/ eyelets. Very cheap on Ebay - think I paid £10 for 300 metres which will last an age.

One of the presents I have bought is a new pair of hiking boots so I thought it would be fun to add these Quickutz boots to the tag.

Stamping Up Dasher

Quite simple, I did try stamping snowflakes over the background but it looked too busy, the plain one was better.
Stamp is Dasher by Stampin' Up and the ribbon slot punch is SU too.
The label die is by Quickutz and I have used a tiny bit of Glamour Dust.
The ribbon is SU and is just two pieces looped, the button glued on to the top loop makes the shape of the bow.

Silver Wedding

This was a rush job :)
I had not realised it was my friend's silver wedding so needed to whip up something quick.
I used two Cuttlebug folders, both featuring hearts. On some of the embossed hearts I used Glamour Dust as a highlight.
The numbers and the silver hearts were both cut using Sizzix dies. The 'label' was cut using a Quickutz die - these are similar to Nestabilities but actually I like the Quickutz version better because the die produces a very thin frame (although this is a devil to attach) as well as the main die-cut label.
There are two little tags attached to some silver thread, this was wrapped along the spine of the card. I made the tags using Stampin' Up stamps and matching punch.
