Art Deco

I made this for one of my club ladies, Pat, who loves Art Deco.

I bought a set of Art Deco ladies toppers from eBay.

I've used a Tonic die for the sentiment and the scallop border punch is by Martha Stewart.

Art Deco

My glamorous friend Pat loves these Art Deco ladies so I save any I am given and recycle them if I'm making her a card.

Embossing folder is Sue Wilson, stamp is Clearly Besotted. Card is 8 x 8".

Art Deco

box for the card

I was asked to make a special card for a silver wedding anniversary, the theme to be Art Deco.

I had some very thick chipboard glittered numbers in my stash but they were pink so I re-glittered them with silver and a coat of Glossy Accents.

The lady who ordered the card provided the toppers (I think they are Papermania) and I used a Martha Stewart punch for the fan border.

I used an 8" x 8" card blank but was concerned about the weight of the chipboard numbers pulling the card over. To balance it out I attached another card blank and decorated that too.

I used "Andes" font to add a personalised greeting, I've just blanked their names out here for privacy. The card seemed more special for having the tri-fold aspect so it's something I might do again. Happy to say my friend was very pleased with it, phew :)

Happy Birthday

Main image is recycled from a Clinton's card. 'Happy Birthday' and black glitter strips peel-offs are, I think, Anita's.

Deco Lady

Another Clintons lady.
The lilac card is paler in real life and is pearlescent. The central image is mounted on 3-d foam for a bit of dimension and I added some black gemstones (eBay).
The black glittery strips on the top left are by Anita's and I just cut them to size.

Deco Lady

Very simple card.
Deco lady from Clintons, I've just mounted on some silver mirror card and added a scrap of ribbon.
I treated myself to the Cuttlebug Asian collection of embossing folders and used one of them on the lilac DCWV cardstock.
I think it needs a sentiment but can't find a suitable one at the moment!

Deco Lady

I've been too busy to make cards lately so quick ones are the order of the day.
This is a very simple card using an image from Clinton Cards (my friend Gill gave me the idea, basically it's a pack of notecards cut up and re-mounted on larger cards.)
Mounted on DCWV textured cardstock, layered with some shiny silver card, and then added a sentiment from Lakeland and an oddment of ribbon.
