Happy Birthday

Card is 7 x 7 inches

I've used patterned paper from my scrap bag. I stamped over it with a 'bubble wrap' stamp (Kaisercraft) using glue instead of ink, then added gilding flakes. I've used the same technique round the edges of the patterned paper too.

I've torn a strip of vellum to lay across the middle of the patterned paper, before adding the die cut sentiment (Sue Wilson dies).

Other dies are a butterfly by Memory Box, and the thin bow across the bottom is by Tattered Lace.

Deer die is from China, I've added some red chunky glitter to his nose.

Daisy

This was inspired by a card I saw on Pinterest by Julia Quinn, I don't have the crate die that she used or the patterned papers though.

Instead of the crate die I used the Hardwood stamp by Stampin' Up! on some caramel coloured card. I didn't make the 'crate' as deep but it would be simple enough to do so  -  this was for a card club project and a deeper crate would mean more flowers and more time needed...

I thought plain card was that bit too plain but didn't want to use patterned paper either so decided to just score the card instead (an easy alternative to stamping or using embossing folders)
The middle panel is lemon yellow and on this piece I scored the lines horizontally.

Daisy stamp and punches are by SU and I think the Happy Birthday die is by Poppy stamps/ Memory Box
The card folds flat and fits a C5 envelope.

Celebrate

I made this flower using a piece of Foamiran, cut with Papertrey dies, and shaded with some Colour Cloud inks.
I was pleased with it but I know it's nothing like the beautiful flowers people can make with Foamiran  (YouTube has tutorials).

I was playing round with spritzing inks but couldn't get the look I wanted with this card. After I'd stuck everything down I figured out it wasn't the inking that was at fault it was the proportions - I'd put the sentiment too high up the card. The thread was then added as an after-thought to try and re-balance it all.

Anyway, the sentiment die is by Memory Box and the faux enamel dots were made with Nuvo crystal drops. Stamp is by Personal Impressions.

8 x 8 gatefold card.
I've used Sizzix Sewing Room die and Lili of the Valley papers.

Only just visible on the cream card  -  I stamped lots of rows of HOTP stitch stamps and embossed in clear powder.  The sentiment has been die-cut four times and layered for dimension.

Rosettes

I spotted some boxes of glittery rosettes in Matalan the other day. They are with the wrapping paper and gift bags, and are on 3 for 2.
Each box has a mix of three colours, in two sizes, twelve to a box (so 36 for £4)


They are meant to be 'gift toppers' but of course I bought them for crafting.

I would have liked the large rosette to be at the bottom left on this card and the smaller ones in its place but with 'Christmas' being the longer word it wouldn't fit.

One Sheet Wonder

Two more cards made with the same one-sheet wonder from the previous post.
I ended up making two 6" x 6" and two 5 x 7" from the same sheet, I still had more left over but was bored of it at this point!

The above card, it's not easy to tell from the photo, but the green on each side of the panel is actually vellum so it's softer than it appears here.

Another card using Rubber Stamp Tapestry stamps.
This time I die-cut two ovals and used them as stencils, stamping through the gap between them.

Thinking about you

This card was too hard to photograph, the shiny surfaces were confusing my camera. In real life the colours are plum/ purple with silver.

It was made for last week's craft club project. We cut a negative shape using a Memory Box die and backed with self-adhesive sheet before applying gilding flakes.
Bit of a mess when we scrubbed the flakes off, leading one of my ladies to declare "I'm definitely not doing this at home!"

Hello Sailor!

We made this card at craft club yesterday.
The sentiment stamps are Waltzingmouse and the shell stamps (just about visible, we stamped in Versamark) are by Hero Arts

We attached the navy card to the card-blank just using masking tape and cut a hole through both using a circle Nestie die. Then we removed the navy card, did the stamping and heat embossing, and then adhered a small piece of acetate over the hole.

The navy card was then fixed to the card-blank, the same circle die plus one two sizes bigger used to cut silver card to make the porthole.
The gems were a last-minute decision, we didn't want to make it too fussy but decided the gems looked like rivets or whatever they are called.

The anchor is a Memory Box die and this was glued to the inside of the card.
Some more stamping of the Hero Arts shells to finish.

Let It Snow

I've been busy clearing out my old craft club's stash pile. We won't have as many spare tables at the new room so it's been a good excuse to thin out the supplies.
Whilst doing so I found this stamped image, no idea where it came from because it's not one of my stamps, no idea where the sentiment sticker came from either!

I've coloured with distress inks and added a wee bit of glitter.
