Acetate stepper card

I'm not sure what this style of card is called so I've gone with acetate stepper. I copied the idea from a birthday card that one of my ladies sent to another one of my ladies!

Papers are old ones from Lili Of The Valley, mannequin die is Sizzix.

Daffodil

We made this card at club and the sample shown here was unfinished. I never got round to adding a sentiment and ideally I would have added some black gems or liquid pearls to the embossed panels.

The daffodil die is by Tonic, oval dies by Creative Expressions. My favourite ever embossing folder, Studded Leather by Crafter's Companion.

This card was made using a tutorial from Sam at Mixed Up Crafts. 

Papers and gift bag dies are by Simply Made Crafts. The sentiment dies and stamps are by Chloe, embossing folder is an old one from Creative Expressions.

A Fancy-fold tutorial from Mixed Up Crafts. I've used old SU papers and the sentiment dies are by Card Making Magic. Flower dies are Creative Expressions.

 

Box of Flowers card

Another club project. We had made a version of this card earlier in the year and I wanted to make a Christmas one. Poinsettia dies are Spellbinders, foliage dies by Crafters Companion.

 

Fancy Fold Christmas

Christmas cards we made at club recently. I'm not sure what this style of card is called but there's loads on Pinterest/ YouTube.

The top photograph is my mum's card and the lower one is mine, we've used the same papers but different dies. Mine is by Tonic and I think my mum's was a magazine freebie.

Card is 6 x 6 inches, and the front piece is acetate.

Back To School

8 x 8 inch card, I've folded the front back on itself.

I made this for a Back To School challenge on Craft World website.

All of the patterned elements are from a single sheet of Graphic 45 that I've chopped up.
I've just added a scrap of linen ribbon and some plain card-stock.

Envelope Card

I've seen a few of these style cards recently and wanted to have a go. I watched two different tutorials, one uses an envelope punch board, but this one doesn't.

It's also an 'open' style at the bottom which means that, if you didn't use 3-D flowers, then the card would fold down reasonably flat. Not flat enough for a normal postage stamp but you could fit it in a standard envelope instead of having to make a box.

The patterned paper is from my scrap box, flowers are cheapies from The Range.
I used a paper straw also from The Range to support the stamped sentiment, the stamp is by JustRite.

Fancy-fold

I'd seen a similar fancy-fold card in a recent magazine (can't remember which one!) and liked that it was so simple, and folds fairly flat.

I've used Paper Boutique papers and topper on this one.

The reason I can't remember which craft magazine I looked at is that I read quite a few. I don't buy them as such, we have a subscription to an online magazine service called Readly. We pay a monthly fee and then, on up to five devices, we can literally read hundreds of magazines on all sorts of topics.

The downside is of course you don't get any free cover gifts, but with some of the craft magazines costing £5 and £6 each to buy the cost of Readly more than makes up for this. You don't need to live in the same household to take advantage of using five separate devices. Our monthly fee is used on iPads in three different houses.

Fancy fold

A fancy fold card that was very easy to make, I'd seen the basic idea in Papercraft Essentials magazine but adapted it slightly.

I've scored a piece of A4 card at 7, 14, 21 and 28cm then folded it to make a square tube (is there a correct term for that??)

The sentiment is attached to a die-cut circle that has been adhered to two further die-cut circles underneath to give a 3-D effect.
