Autumn

This was made for an Autumn Birthday challenge, it's an 8 x8 inch card.
I used a decorative panel by Stamperia and added some Glossy Accents and Glamor Dust.

The sentiment is from a set of dies by Sue Wilson
Ladybird is a button from my stash
The tree rings and foliage dies are by Tim Holtz for Sizzix, I've added gilding wax to the tree rings.

Bonjour

A quick card made whilst I had the paper pad (DCWV) still on my desk from the previous card.

Large Butterfly

To try and keep my card club ladies motivated during lockdown I decided to set a challenge every week.
This was easier said than done because I had no idea just what sort of craft stash and equipment they have at home.

One week I drew a quick sketch so the challenge was to make a card matching my layout idea. After I'd sketched it out I made a sample card myself. It was at this point that I realised I didn't like the placement of the two strips (top left) and should have dropped them down to the next square, never mind!

I used patterned paper and a large butterfly die set, both by Crafter's Companion. To give an idea of scale the card is 8 x 8 inches so the butterfly really is quite big.

With Love

Stamp and die set is by Daisy Mae Designs.

I liked their sample card so pretty much copied it. I've used alcohol markers to colour the image.

Sunflower

A recent project at the club.
We used ready-made side-stepper card blanks by Crafters Companion and the stamps are by Woodware.

We used Tim Holtz Oxide inks to colour plain white card and then stamped and heat-embossed with SU copper powder. The flower was stamped again and decoupaged (please excuse my very rough fussy-cutting) and we added some dots of gilding flakes and also some seed beads.

The woodgrain embossing folder is by SU. We used some gilding wax to bring out the grain effect.

Sweet

Stamps are by Docrafts. I've heat-embossed with white and gold powders.

Inside I made a simple open box, punching a 'bite' using an SU scalloped punch. The biscuits are (box of 48) from Costco but also available on Amazon, they work out less than 20p per pack so a fun addition to the card.

More playing with inks and Pixie Powders
Sentiment dies by Sue Wilson
Seahorse by Lavinia stamps, I've heat embossed with black powder
Finished card is 8 x 8 inches.

Just For You

Card blank is made from Papermania 12 x 12 acetate, cut down to 6 x 12 and scored  (a bit hard to photograph)
Sentiment die by Tonic
Flowers dies from China.
I've just noticed the missing pearl, never mind.

Mouse

A recent birthday card for someone who is going to Disney later this year.
I saw the idea on Pinterest, I've just changed the sentiment.
I think the die is by Tonic and came as part of a set, I didn't particularly like it but wanted the other dies.

Poor lighting so the colours are way out, they're much brighter really.

Dies are all Sue Wilson

First card of 2018

I've used Sue Wilson dies (and copied her card idea). The cocktail glass has an acetate layer that curves round the glass to give a 3D effect.

Vertical Greetings

Inspired by a card in the Stampin' Up! catalogue, all products are SU.

I used marker pens to colour directly on to the stamp (and added the gems to cover a little smudge)
Stamp set is 'Vertical Greetings'

Cheers

Dies are from the latest issue of Die-cutting magazine
Sentiment stamp is by Woodware

Card folds (fairly) flat and is then 17 cm x 17 cm so fits in a 7 inch envelope.

A4 cut to 29cm and then score at 6cm and 9cm, turn 180 degrees and score again at 6 and 9cm
Fold side panels in and then cut card to 17cm height, the strip you have just cut off is then flipped over and adhered (the 'cheers' bit)

Best Decision

My lovely friend Dawn, the one who recently got engaged, has asked me to be her Matron of Honour. The only time she has been a bridesmaid was actually for me but that was nearly twenty years ago.
I was pleased to be asked but wondered if I was too old...she has assured me I'm not!

I made her this little card to go with a gift, the sentiment jar has been made with SU stamps and dies, I think the patterned paper is Papermania.

Fabulous

Stamp is by Woodware

Background created with Pixie Powders and a sprinkle of gold embossing powder (not set with ink, just thrown on while the card-stock was still wet)

Butterfly punch by SU. If I'd found the matching stamp set in time it would have been stamped too! Tidied my pit of a craft room eventually and discovered it hiding under a storage trolley...

Bookcase Builder

Another recent SU purchase and, again, one I need a bit more time with.
I used whatever inks I had to hand plus some stamp-friendly pens (old ones by Docrafts)

I like the way you can really change the mood of the card by using the same stamps but in different colours and combinations. Some great ideas on Pinterest, as usual.

Lift Me Up

This is the tool (wallpaper seam roller) I was blethering about on my previous post, it's fab for getting a really definite crease when making your own card blanks.

This card made using Stampin' Up! Lift Me Up stamp set and matching dies. I've bought a lot of new SU stuff lately and haven't had time to have a really good play...

Camper Van

Stamps are by Hunkydory
Coloured with Copics

And talking of road trips... Fletcher's first holiday in the Lakes last week.

He climbed two Wainwright's and had lots of attention in Keswick. It's a very dog-friendly place so we were able to take him in most cafes, pubs and shops etc.

Happy Thoughts

One of our recent club projects, a nice flat card for easy posting.

We used 'Beautiful Day' Altenew stamp set and various inks. I deliberately mis-stamped mine to show the ladies that it doesn't matter if you don't line the layers up exactly ;)

Card is 6 x 6 inches.

Sneakers

Main stamp is by Woodware, sentiment is by Clearly Besotted
I've added silver Wink of Stella to the soles and coloured the rest with Promarkers.
Card is 7 x 7 inches.
