Mum

Identical card layout to the lilac Christmas one shown recently. I liked the design so just changed the colour scheme and sentiment.

Happy Birthday

A card I made for one of my card club ladies, Margaret.

I used Crafter's Companion patterned paper, and I think the sentiment die is by Tonic.

Happy Birthday

Card is 7 x 7 inches

I've used patterned paper from my scrap bag. I stamped over it with a 'bubble wrap' stamp (Kaisercraft) using glue instead of ink, then added gilding flakes. I've used the same technique round the edges of the patterned paper too.

I've torn a strip of vellum to lay across the middle of the patterned paper, before adding the die cut sentiment (Sue Wilson dies).

Other dies are a butterfly by Memory Box, and the thin bow across the bottom is by Tattered Lace.

Birthday

Made for one of my lovely club ladies.
I've used an embossing folder by Creative Expressions for the frame and highlighted it with a little gilding wax.

Sentiment dies are also Creative Expressions. Flowers are from The Range

Easter Chick

I received some amazing birthday cards recently and I'll be sharing them here in the next few posts.

This one is from the very talented Coleen. Not only did she make the card, but also the cute little chick, in fact she made one for all the ladies at our club.  Mine laid a chocolate egg yesterday :)

Quilted

One of my ladies, Coleen, is an amazing quilter. She made each member of my club a quilted Father Christmas bottle topper plus a neat little lavender sachet. I cannot even sew a button on so am in awe of her skills.

For Coleen's birthday I decided to make her a quilted style card. I used some patterned paper from Hobbycraft with hexagon dies by Spellbinders.
The sentiment has been cut four times, layered, and coated with Glossy Accents then sprinkled with glitter.
Finished card is 8 x 8 inches.

80

I haven't had any time for crafting recently but couldn't not make my mum an 80th card.

I wanted to use colours other than pink/ purple/ lilacs so decided to use copper and brown for an Autumnal feel.

The card is 8 x 8 inches and the background paper I've used is Stampin' Up!
Number dies are from eBay, I cut four times and layered them up before adding Glossy Accents and just a touch of chunky glitter.
Letter dies are by Tonic, other dies are Spellbinders.

Shell stamps are by Hero Arts. I've had them for about ten years so it was nice to dust them off!

I've cut the right-hand of the front off, the pearlescent beige covers the whole of the inside.

The small flower stamp is a China cheapy.
Sentiment die by Tonic

Striped Flowers

Sentiment stamp is a cheap one from The Range (think it's Trimcraft or Dovecraft brand?)
Scalloped square die by Tonic
Flower stamp and matching die is Heartfelt Creations. I've embossed using SU copper powder which is a beautiful colour in real life. I also added heat embossing to some of the edges of the layered card by using a Versamark pen and the copper powder.

Daisy

This was inspired by a card I saw on Pinterest by Julia Quinn, I don't have the crate die that she used or the patterned papers though.

Instead of the crate die I used the Hardwood stamp by Stampin' Up! on some caramel coloured card. I didn't make the 'crate' as deep but it would be simple enough to do so  -  this was for a card club project and a deeper crate would mean more flowers and more time needed...

I thought plain card was that bit too plain but didn't want to use patterned paper either so decided to just score the card instead (an easy alternative to stamping or using embossing folders)
The middle panel is lemon yellow and on this piece I scored the lines horizontally.

Daisy stamp and punches are by SU and I think the Happy Birthday die is by Poppy stamps/ Memory Box
The card folds flat and fits a C5 envelope.

Kath

Kath is another of my lovely card club ladies who has been attending for many years. I don't think I have ever, in all that time, heard her complain about anything!

Papers are from The Works (their own brand £2 a pad)
Flowers are cheapies from The Range
Dies are Spellbinders and Sizzix Funky Brush for the letters

Birthday Wishes

Excuse the very rough colouring in and cutting out.
As usual, rushing to get the sample made for my club.

Sue Wilson die and stamp. Edged with Colour Cloud and we decoupaged the second layer.

Birthday Wishes

I made this for one of my ladies and, with her having a December birthday, wanted it to be as un-Christmassy as possible. Easier said than done when you are surrounded by Christmas stash and everything red, green and gold.

Flower stamp is by Woodware and the sentiment stamp is by Waltzingmouse.
I coloured the flower using Colour Cloud inks and added some Glamour Dust for sparkle.
