Rose Gold Christmas

This card was inspired by one I saw on Pinterest, unfortunately I can't figure out who the original creator is in order to credit them properly.

I've used pale grey card (colour not showing accurately here due to my poor photography) and splattered it with white gesso.

The poinsettia dies are by Sue Wilson and are a mix of pale grey, white shimmer, and rose gold cardstocks. I've also used rose gold glitter card, with foliage dies by Crafter's Companion, in real life it's a beautiful colour.

The sentiment stamp is by Chloe, stamped and heat embossed with copper embossing powder on a pale peach shimmer card. Finished card is 7 x 7 inches.

Made for a friend who likes quilting. Sentiment stamp and dies by Chloe, other dies are by Sue Wilson

Storybook

A bit dark for photographs but never mind.

I've used Crafters Companion Storybook die set. The sentiment die is also CC and I suspect some, if not all, of the snowflake dies are too.

The top layer is white pearlescent card that I've stamped using a Chloe snowflake border stamp then heat embossed with white powder. It's not very visible here at all but I've used pale blue and teal Colour Cloud inks to lift the stamped snowflakes and also the edges of the white card.

Chloe

Another project for my club ladies.
We used an 8" scallop circle card blank.
All stamps are by Chloe Endean. We heat embossed on white shimmer card and also on acetate.

I've cut the right-hand of the front off, the pearlescent beige covers the whole of the inside.

The small flower stamp is a China cheapy.

Noel

Inspired by a card by Chloe Endean. I've used Chloe heart and snowflake border stamps. The noel sentiment is by JustRite, the deer die is a cheapie from China, tag die is Sue Wilson.

Please excuse the terrible blending (Colour Cloud ink). I didn't use enough and then decided to add a glitter border, realised I'd not inked enough and tried to add more but the glitter got in the way...I'm not sending the card to anyone it was just a sample for card club, I could not be bothered to sit and make another one with better blending!

Peace

I couldn't get a decent pic of this one.
Card is 8 x 8 inches and I used a Chloe stamp with die by Tonic

The centre panel started off as white shimmer card and I smooshed Colour Cloud ink over it before picking out sections with a darker ink.

The lilac and plum cardstocks are much nicer in real life, they're from Paper Mill and are a lovely matt pearlescent finish.

I'm fortunate to be able to go to the Paper Mill shop in Kendal several times a year and it's great being able to see the products for myself rather than try and order them online. Well worth a trip if you're ever in/ near the Lake District, the staff are lovely and there's usually some really nice samples on display. I've been going there for years (under their previous business name) and was thrilled when they bought the Paper Mill because now there's double the choice of card and paper :)

Merry Christmas

Sorry for the long absence, I think I underestimated just how demanding a new puppy is - good job he is very cute!

As of tonight I have made the grand total of two Christmas cards, better get my skates on...

This was a club project, we used Chloe stamps for the flower and sentiment.
The card base is from Samuel Taylor,  I really like these as I'd need to buy A3 card to make them myself.
We folded the front back on itself, then added silver mirri card (hence the mad reflections here)

Magic and Sparkle

Project for card club.
We used a Chloe stamp and coloured it with Colour Cloud inks. The trees have been decoupaged and Glamour Dust-ed, and a score board was used to create diagonal lines on the background mat.

Card is 7 x 7 inches and we used a Misti tool for the stamp as it's quite large - much easier than an acrylic block.

Anniversary stamp is by Chloe Endean
Flower from The Range, leaf is an old punch (Woodware?)

I've used Colour Cloud ink to colour pearlised white card and also for infilling the sentiment.

Merry Christmas

Back from our last visit to the Lakes this year and time to crack on with Christmas cards!

Poinsettia and branch stamps are by Chloe, sentiment stamp is by Sweet Dixie. I've also used a set of SU snowflake stamps with clear embossing powder on the red background.

The branches have been stamped on heat-resistant acetate and the gold spirals were made from off-cuts of gold card wrapped around the handle of an embossing tool.

I mixed some fine gold glitter in with normal gold embossing powder to give it a little sparkle.

This is what I get up to in the Lakes, although obviously that's not me, it's my husband.

Last week we climbed Blencathra which is a prominent fell just outside of Keswick, not much of a view due to mist and cloud but it was a good day's walking. At 2848 ft it's officially a mountain and one of three we climbed that day.

Orchid

Another card club project, idea is based on one in a project book from Stamps by Chloe
Orchid, foliage, and sentiment stamps are all from Chloe too.

We stamped the orchids on vellum and heat embossed with white powder. We then used pencils to colour in on the back of the orchids and layered up before adding dots of glitter.

The foliage stamps were used with heat-resistant acetate and WOW powder.
Finished card is 8 x 8 inches.

Christmas

I've been ill for the best part of a fortnight so had to finish off my cards for posting in a mad rush.

This is a flat card, I try to do these at this time of year as we have relatives who are scattered about the country and the postage soon mounts up.

The main stamp is by Crafty Individuals, I've used distress inks to make the backgrounds. The snowflake stamp is by Chloe, I've roughly embossed it and added Glamour Dust in places.

Noel

Chloe stamps again, this time with vellum. The third card I made using the same two holly stamps but in different colours.
Noel stamp is also by Chloe, foliage die is by Sizzix
