Shoe

I've struggled to get back into cardmaking this week after a break for Easter.
Normally I am not a fan of decoupage (too fiddly!) but I think it's just the thing when inspiration is lacking as the design has already been done for you.

This is a sheet from 'House of Zandra' and I've just added some glitter, backing card, and the sentiment.

Impreza

Recently I had to say 'goodbye' to my Subaru Impreza (although it wasn't stickered up like this one!) so to make-up for not seeing one on the drive-way anymore I decided a card was the next best thing. I might end up keeping this for myself to weep over.

The image was recycled from a recent card sent to my husband.
Embossing folder is by Darice.
Happy Birthday stamp is Papermania

Cup and Saucer

Something I made for Mothering Sunday recently.
The cup and saucer template was from House of Zandra. I discovered their bricks and mortar shop a week or so ago and they have some gorgeous papers and templates that they design themselves but unfortunately I was in a real rush and couldn't stop to browse.

The cup and saucer took literally thirty minutes to make (not bragging! just saying how easy it was) so would be good for a little present at short notice.

Butterfly

I've been quite poorly for a few weeks so card making took a back seat.
To ease into it again I wanted something simple, also needed it flat with no embellishments.

The blue stripe is just an ink pad sponged over the white card, masked with a couple of pieces of scrap paper.
The butterflies are from Penny Black "Social Butterflies" set  (I already had too many butterfly stamps but couldn't resist another!) and the sentiment stamp is by Woodware.

Just A Note

I spotted a card on Pinterest the other day and knew I wanted to make one very similar. I loved the simplicity of the embossing folder and the printed sentiment.
I've mounted mine very slightly differently and also added some black silk ribbon but it's still almost a direct copy.

I carried the 'just a note' theme one step further and made the card into a money wallet.

Shot Glass

Not a card, I've either been too busy or not in the mood for paper-crafting lately. Because of the bad weather card club had to be cancelled the last few weeks, I think that affected my mojo a lot.

At a local gift shop I spotted these shot glasses.
The 'Happy Birthday' is lovely and sparkly in real life and if I can figure out how what they used to write on the glass I'll be making some similar ones myself.
I'm wondering if it's a glue gun with a glitter stick but I'll definitely be looking next time I'm at a craft shop, see if I can see something suitable.

Because of certain retail companies folding recently and not honouring gift vouchers it has really put me off giving them as gifts. I don't like giving cash as a rule but sometimes it's hard to know what to give instead.
So I decided to 'jazz-up' a cash gift and put it in the shot glass.

I wrapped the glass in coloured tissue and placed it in a tall cello card bag and tied some curly ribbon round. It looked so nice I forgot to take a photo ;)

Friendship

This was a present from my friend Yeeting. I liked it so much I made some myself!

It's air-dry clay that has been rolled out and stamped into with a rubber stamp. It's then been cut with a biscuit/ cookie cutter, a hole made at the top, and left to dry for a day or so.

Everything used (except the clay) is by Stampin' Up!

Friend

This is my entry into "The world's most boring card 2013".

I bought a set in the sales, it seemed like a bargain at the time, but I'm a bit of a loss as to what to do with it.
It's a rubber stamp with matching embossing folder so you get some depth to the image but it's quite large so seems a shame to cover parts of it up...

hmmm think I'll need to trawl Google and see what others have done with it, steal some ideas.

Tag Calendar

This was a Christmas present from my lovely friend Maria.
You can't tell from the pics but it's nice and chunky so should be safe in my bomb-site of a craft room.

Each month has papers and embellishments that match the season/ time of year, very clever.

Thanks again Maria!
