Fancy fold

A fancy fold card that was very easy to make, I'd seen the basic idea in Papercraft Essentials magazine but adapted it slightly.

I've scored a piece of A4 card at 7, 14, 21 and 28cm then folded it to make a square tube (is there a correct term for that??)

The sentiment is attached to a die-cut circle that has been adhered to two further die-cut circles underneath to give a 3-D effect.

Oval Box

A bit of a fiddly project, using a set of oval dies from Card Making Magic

I was inspired by a project on Mixed Up Crafts, Sam had used the dies to make a tissue box.

I've used stamps and matching die set by Pink Ink
The hexagon dies for the stopper are by Memory Box

Mountain

There is a little story behind this card.

A few years ago my darling Dad was diagnosed with an horrendous, life-limiting illness. Prior to this he was such a big help with my card-making clubs: helping me set up the tables and chairs, making refreshments for the ladies etc.

The nature of the illness meant dad needed full-time care, my mum vowed that she would keep him at home, as long as she possibly could, and that nothing short of her own death would stop her. Various health-care professionals told her and me that it just couldn't be done.

My mum did it. I don't know how, but she did. Inspirational, courageous, and amazing do not even begin to describe her achievement. She is super-human.

Dad is now at peace, we will miss him dreadfully. This card is for Mum. xx
