Happy Birthday

A card I made for Pat, one of my lovely club ladies.

Unfortunately my club is still closed, hard to believe - 16 months now.

For the card I used DCWV patterned paper and Sizzix dies. I think the embossing folder was a magazine freebie, the sentiment stamp is by PTI.

Peace

Embossing folder is Studded Leather by Crafters Companion. I've added Nuvo drops to each stud.

Poinsettias are a Sue Wilson die set, the glitter card was made with Glitter Kiss by Creative Expressions.

Sentiment is a PTI die.

I think, looking at the photos, that I might add something else, maybe some gold leaves or flourishes.

Peace

Having made my own red glitter card for club projects, as shown on the previous post, I have been using up the left-overs.

Peace

I usually make several different designs of Christmas cards to post out but this year decided to keep things simple.
I made this card and then, rare for me, made quite a few more!

The patterned papers are by Stampin' Up!
It's a white background with foiled snowflakes on one and starbursts/ fireworks on the other.
For some of the cards I kept the white as it was, on the other cards I smooshed Colour Cloud Ink over to change it to lilac.

Some of the cards I used a pearlescent purple layer with silver card and the others I used a rich brown with gold card.

The foil snowflakes are also by SU

Peace

I bought a bargain 'Merry Christmas' die recently and planned to use it on this card. I then changed my mind as I thought it looked too cluttered and decided on 'Peace' instead.
After I'd glued it down I wondered if the Peace was too small...

Anyway the embossing folder is by Crafter's Companion and I swiped some pink Colour Cloud ink across the raised areas
The poinsettia dies are Sue Wilson, I think the sentiment is Papertrey Ink and I cut and layered it four times.

Poppies

This was a card for one of my ladies. Joan has been attending our card-making club almost since the very start, January 2004, and has followed me about with the various venue changes.
She is always willing to help put the equipment out and pack away and she adores poppies.

Here I used a Papertrey Ink sentiment embossed with shiny black powder and Heartfelt Creations flower stamps.
The decorative oval die is by Spellbinders, not sure of the make of the scroll die; it's not one I use very much because it's so fiddly.

Finished card is 8 x 8 inches.

Happy Birthday

I started with a piece of shimmer white card and stamped some Altenew Peony Scrolls stamps and then heat embossed with white powder.

I then used Colour Cloud blending ink in a pale lilac all over the card. A darker blending ink was used to colour inside the flowers (I just used a damp water- brush for this)

The sentiment is a PTI stamp and the tiny dots are from the inside of sequins.

Shaker card made with SU dies (balloon and bow)
'Baby' die is by Papertrey Ink

Peace

Bit hard to photograph this as it's part acetate.
Papermill Direct are currently running a tag competition, here.

I edged a piece of acetate with white Stazon ink and then stamped it with a stamp from SU Gorgeous Grunge set.
The sentiment is a PTI die and I cut it twice, layered it, then covered with glitter.

The 'peace' part was glued to the front of the tag, then three pieces of card layered and glued to the back.

Pine-cone Tag

Another tag for the Papermill Direct challenge.

This time I've used Whispers markers to directly colour on to a Hero Arts stamp. I scattered some chunky embossing enamel over the tag and heated (from underneath to stop it blowing away) to create 'snow'.

The sentiment is a Papertrey Ink die that has been cut twice and layered for a shadow effect, and then glazed with Glossy Accents.
Faux stitching and a little distress ink round the edges of the tag to finish.

Forever

I started playing round with a scrap of lace, some blue card-stock left on my desk...and together they reminded me of a bridal garter.

Button die is SU/ Sizzix

Peace

My latest stash purchases from Waltzingmouse. Love the font on the stamps and couldn't resist the snowflake die.

I haven't used the stamps yet but did some test die-cuts and whipped up this Christmas card.

Birthday

I had originally made a tag to attach to this card but an accident with an ink-pad meant a design change half-way through.
Then, after I photographed it I noticed the missing 'dot' over the 'i' and that I'd forgotten to stitch through the holes!

Papers are by Tilda
Sentiment dies are PTI and Tattered Lace

Birthday

Blue paper is by Papermania and I used a HOTP stamp with clear ink and clear embossing powder, bottom right corner.

Tag is from a piece of Teresa Collins paper.
I think the 'birthday' die is by PTI and I used Glossy Accents to glaze it.

Forever

'Forever' die is by Papertrey Ink
Bow die is from the Sue Wilson range by Creative Expressions

I thought this might be a nice Mr & Mr card now that gay marriage is legal :)

Saturday, 5 April 2014

Birthday

All papers are Echo Park
Sentiment die is Papertrey Ink, I'm unsure whether to stamp a small 'happy' just before it or leave as it is.

Thursday, 3 April 2014

Birthday

I had some left-over scraps of spritzed cardstock from previous cards plus some left-over glitter card.
Normally scraps get thrown into a baggie, all the baggies sorted by colour, but this time I decided to use them straight-away.

The 'happy' die is by Simon Says Stamp and the 'birthday' is Papertrey Ink.
The scallop border is Spellbinders.
Spritzing ink by Docrafts.

Balloons

I made this card for my husband's recent birthday, we've been on a couple of hot-air balloon rides in the past so I knew he'd like the theme.

Balloon and landscape die are both Memory Box, sentiment die is PTI.
It's an 8 x 8 inch card and I gently curved the balloons before mounting on foam pads.
